Working with ancient pigments
Having completed an in-depth body of work spanning 7 years in 2022, culminating in a 10 week long solo show in 2023, I am now at the early stages of a new enquiry. In short, I am embarking on an in-depth study of feminine energy, the female psyche, lost wisdoms, and redressing the balance between the masculine and feminine energies in society, a balance I strongly believe we need to move humanity forward in a sustainable way.

As part of my inquiry, I am running a series of research labs - ‘Art Lab With Kat For Women’ - in Oslo
Joya: AiR - September 2024
I have been selected to be one of the artist in residence at AiR: Joya, located in Parque Natural Sierra María - Los Vélez, National Park, in Spain together with my friend and fellow artist Sume Leyden. Our focus will be on the language of place - we will be collecting and experimenting with local pigments (earth, clays, plants), sounds (field recordings), and other sensory impressions ..
